Ralph Edward Hilderbrand, Sr. age 77 of Steubenville, OH passed away December 8, 2023.

He was born March 21, 1946 in Steubenville, OH the son of the late Floyd and Elizabeth (Larkins) Hilderbrand.

Ralph was retired from the American Steel Company of Alliance, OH and served his country in the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam during the Viet Nam War. He was wounded in action and received a Purple Heart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Ralph Edward Hilderbrand, Jr.; sisters, Helen Raft and Thelma Nelson; brothers, Raymond, Harold and Charles "Mike" Hilderbrand.

Ralph is survived by his sons, Steven Ray Hilderbrand of Alabama and Thomas Wayne Hilderbrand of Tennessee and a brother, Carl (Elizabeth) Hilderbrand of Weirton, W.Va. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive.

Visitation hours fort Ralph will be held 1-3 pm and 5-7pm, Tuesday December 12th followed by a service celebrating Ralph's life at 7pm Tuesday all at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.

Full military honors will be presented at the funeral home following Ralphs service by the Toronto American Legion Honor Guard.
