Raymond Harry Sousa, age 76 of Toronto, OH passed away Thursday, February 05, 2015 at the Acuity Specialty Hospital, Weirton, WV.

He was born November 6, 1938 in Canonsburg, PA the son of the late Edward J. (Eddie) Sousa and Adelaide "Della" (Polasky) Sousa.

Ray was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Toronto and the marriage prep team of the church; member of the Toronto Council #2187 Knights of Columbus; member of the Toronto Rod and Gun Club.
He had worked for Brown and Graves Lumber Co., Nickles Bakery; was retired after 27 years from the Weirton Steel Co. as a welder, and was self-employed for 25 years in the excavating business. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife M. Kathleen (McCourt) Sousa who passed away in 2011 and whom he married May 8, 1954; daughter, Victoria Antoinette Sousa and daughter-in-law, Cheryl A. Sousa. He is survived by his sons, Raymond Henry Sousa, John Phillip (Mildred) Sousa, Steven Eric (Tela) Sousa all of Toronto, OH; daughter, Marguerite Belinda Sousa (Jeff) Lebo of Toronto, OH; grandchildren, Jeramie Sousa Gorman, John Phillip Sousa, Alexander (Chelsea) Sousa, Melissa Sousa, Sierra Sousa (Dana) Zastudil, and Amy Kay (R.J.) Sousa; great-grandchildren, Dakota Martin, Cheyenne Martin, Kylie and Ryan Wright; sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Wills of Levittown, PA and Mary Ann "Nicki" (Jeff) Clovis of New Cumberland, WV; brother, Jerome "Jerry" (Kathy) Sousa of Glen Burnie, MD; sisters-in-law, Shirley Leake, Shirley McCourt, Wuanita Wilbur and Geri McCourt; brothers-in-law, Bobby (Connie)McCourt, David (Patricia) McCourt and Larry Vincenzo. Friends and family will gather for visitation 2-4 and 6-9 Monday, February 9th and also from 10 to 10:45 A.M. Tuesday at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11 A.M. Tuesday at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, North River Ave., Toronto with celebrant the Reverend Father Thomas Vennitti. Interment will follow at the Osage Cemetery, State Rt. 152, Toronto.
