Rickie Alan Downen, age 75 of Toronto passed away Monday, September 5, 2022.
He was born October 13, 1946 in Steubenville the son of the late Joseph M. Downen in 2014and Eleanor Naomi (Byers) Downen in 2004. He was also preceded in death by his son, James "Bo" Michael Downen in 2017; granddaughter, Terra Joy McDonald; brother, Ronald E. Downen and sisters, Sandra A. Shook and Debbie J. Downen.
Rickie was a 1965 graduate of Toronto High School, had served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1970 and was retired from the Weirton Steel Co.
His memberships include: NRA, Toronto Gun Club, Toronto Band Camp, Ohio Gun Collectors and was a Mountain Man on the Great Trails Camping Trails.
Rickie is survived by his wife, Anna Irene Blanche (McEwen) Downen whom he married November 10, 1966; daughters, Wendy Lynn (James) McKee of Hammondsville and Ila Virginia Nelson of Follansbee; grandsons, Ted A.A. (Michelle) Davis and Samuel D. "McEwen" Abdalla all of Toronto; granddaughter, Malinna Star (Andy) Monroe of Rutland, OH and four great-grandchildren.
Rickie's arrangements will be at the family's convenience and are in the care of the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
