Rita C. Fithen - Age 83 - of Mingo Jct., Ohio, passed away July 21, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center East, Steubenville, Ohio.Born May 21, 1920, Rita is a daughter of the late James and Mary Edna Robinson Fisher. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Name Cathedral in Steubenville.In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Francis E. Fithen, whom she married June 22, 1940 and who passed away May 28, 1995; one son, James F. Fithen; one daughter, Mary Edna Fithen; two brothers, James and Abe Fisher; and four sisters, Jane McAvoy, Viola Jones, Georgie Parrish and Helen Merrian. Rita''s survivors include one son, John R. Fithen and his wife Pamela of Irondale, Ohio; one daughter, Ms. Rose Ann Braniff of Mingo Jct., Ohio; four grandchildren, Terri Toporcer and her husband Doug, Maynard Paul Braniff, Susan Hodges and Amy Braniff and her fiance, Ryan Neeley; and six great-grandchildren.
