Obituary

Robert W. A"BoA" Hawkins Sr., age 74 of Toronto, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Trinity Medical Center West - Steubenville.Born May 14, 1936 in Toronto, he is a son of the late Clarence Blythe and Ella Mae Ensell Hawkins. Bo is a 1956 graduate of Toronto High School, and served his country in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. He is retired from the Timet Steel Manufacturing Corporation - Toronto Plant, and is also a Staff Associate Emeritus of the Clarke Funeral Home. He has been a member of the North River Avenue Christian Church for over 50 years, and has also been a member of the Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 F & AM for 35 years; he also holds membership in the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite - Valley of Steubenville. He has been a very avid, spoiled, and loyal Ohio State Buckeye fan for many many years.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Robert W. A"BumA" Hawkins Jr. who passed away in 2004; three sisters, two brothers; and his loving and loyal companions Brutus, Rosie, and Snuggles.Bo''s survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mrs. Mary Lou Flint Hawkins whom he married November 25, 1960 of the family home in Toronto. Two daughters, Mrs. Jill McGrath and her husband Kevin of Galloway, Ohio and Ms. Robin Hawkins of Lewis Center, Ohio. His two Grand - Daughters, Miss Olivia and Miss Megan McGrath of Galloway, Ohio. Two sisters, Mrs. Beryl Hogue of Bloomingdale, Ohio and Mrs. Leah France and her husband Leonard of Madison Heights, Virginia. Four brothers, Edward A"DaleA" Hawkins and his wife Celia of Akron, Ohio, James Hawkins of Crystal River, Florida, Jared Hawkins and his wife Mary Lou of Toronto, Ohio, Warren Hawkins and his wife Leticia also of Toronto, and many Nieces, Nephew, and Cousins.Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main St. Toronto, Ohio 43964 740-537-1234/800-588-1446. Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 will conduct Masonic Funeral Services at 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.A celebration service of Bo''s life will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at the North River Avenue Christian Church, 207 North River Avenue Toronto, with Pastor Robert E.
