Robert E. "Big Bob" Maus, age 68 of Toronto, OH passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born February 28, 1948 in Steubenville, OH the son of the late Jack and Christine (Valentino) Maus.

He loved his family especially his grandchildren and was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and trap shooter.

Bob was a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church of Steubenville, OH; the Toronto American Legion Post #86 and was a graduate of Steubenville High School.  He was retired from Titanium Metals Corp. of Toronto, OH and served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-brother, Dennis Huber

Bob is survived by his wife, Carolyn S. (Rock) Maus whom he married January 9, 1971; daughter, Marie (Jay) Fabian of Mingo Jct., OH; grandchildren, Alec and Graci Craig; brothers, Jackie Maus of North Carolina, Tim (Theresa) Maus of Columbus, OH; sisters, Debbi (Paul) Wilson of Cranberry, PA and Terry (Reggie) Fowler of Gathersburg, MD.

Family Visitation and services for Bob will be private at the convenience of his family at the Clarke funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH with Monsignor Gerald Calovini officiating and full military honors by the Toronto American Legion Honor Guard.
