Ruby Marie Haught, age 91 formerly of State Route 152, Toronto passed away at the Wyngate Senior Living of Weirton.

She was born March 3, 1930 in Youngstown, OH the daughter of the late Emmett and Matha (Rogers) Trent.

Ruby was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, the Toronto Order of Eastern Star Chapter #215, the Questers of Steubenville. She was a 1948 graduate of Jefferson Union High School and a 1951-year graduate of West Liberty College and retired as an elementary school teacher in the Edison Local School District.

She loved flowers and planted hundreds of them at her home in Sugar Grove. She spent many years active in local politics and was the campaign manager for several local politicians. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald B. Haught May 4, 1993 whom she married June 7, 1953. Brother, Roger Trent and wife Ona of Florida who passed away in 2019.

Ruby is survived by her son, Gerald Robert "Bob" Haught and wife Rebecca of Cary, IL; sister, Shirlene Trent Wood of Richmond, OH; grandchildren, Samantha Haught of Hoffman Estates, IL, Andrew Haught and wife Ashley of Paddock Lake, WI and Geralyn Knapp and husband Ben of Lexington, KY; great granddaughter Addison Knapp.

Visitation hours for Ruby will be held from 11 AM to 3 PM Thursday, January 27th.

A celebration service of Ruby's life will be held 11 AM Friday, January 28th with the Reverend Kevin Rinkes officiating. Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery.
