Samuel H. Firm, age 89 of Toronto, was called home on Thursday, February 1, 2007.Born September 29, 1917 in Toronto, he is a son of the late Harry A. and Amanda Bruce Firm. He is a member of the Wintersville Baptist Church, and was an ordained lay minister of the Baptist Church. He is retired from the Weirton Steel Division of the National Steel Corporation, and is a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. ArmyIn addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters; Mrs. Florence Firm and Mrs. Ruth Morrow; a brother, G. David Firm; and five infant children.Sam is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Edith L. Byrne Firm of the home, three sons; Herbert R. Firm, Russell L. Firm, and Michael T. Firm and his wife Beth, all of Toronto; four daughters; Mrs. Ruth Freer of Haines City, Florida, Mrs. Amanda Blackwell of Toronto, Mrs. Mae E. Gheraty and her husband Chuck of Toronto, Mrs. Edith S.
