SANDRA ANN "SANDY" SHOOK

Sandra Ann "Sandy" Shook, age 85 of Wintersville passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, March 29, 2021 at her home.

She was born December 24, 1935 in Jefferson County, Ohio the son of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Byers) Downen.

Sandy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Toronto,  the Toronto Senior Citizens Club and was a 1954 graduate of Jefferson Union High School. She loved crafting, camping and especially loved being with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was retired from the former Ohio Valley Hospital of Steubenville as a ward helper.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert "Bob" Shook in 1999 whom she married September 4, 1954; brother, Ronald Downen and sister, Debbie Jo Downen.

Sandy is survived by her sons, Robert Keith (Suzie) Shook of Toronto and Kevin R. Shook of Wintersville; daughter, Kelli Lyn (Gary Hill) Shook of Richmond; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a brother, Rick (Ann) Downen of Toronto.

Visitation hours for Sandy will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Saturday, April 3rd at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto. A celebration of Sandy's life will follow at 8 PM Saturday with the Reverend Doctor Edna Stahl and the Reverend Kevin Rinkes officiating. Interment will be held at the New Somerset Christian Church Cemetery at the convenience of Sandy's family.

Masks and social distancing are required at the funeral home. No exceptions. the family requests that visitors not linger during visitation hours. Thank you for your consideration on behalf of the family and the funeral home personnel.
