Sharon Murray loved horses, black cats, tuxedo cats, hearts, purple things, turquoise, western style clothes and decor. She loved her nephews, great nephews & great nieces so very much. She loved her kitty Lulu like she was her child. She loved Breyer horses. She wore Moonlight Path, and Winter Candy Apple perfume from Bath and Body Works. She worked with standard bred race horses for many years, traveling up and down the East Coast to the tracks. She lived in Lexington Kentucky for many years where she started driving city bus for Lex tran, and later moved to the Columbus Ohio area to drive bus for COTA for many years. Oh the stories Sharon told us about all of her experiences with the jobs she had. She was strong willed, stubborn, a little sassy at times, she worked hard, loved to laugh. She had a big personality. She loved to sparkle and wore some clothing that had glitter, sequins and hearts on them. She always had her eye make up in shades of purple, some blues & silver. She always decorated the envelopes of cards with pretty stickers. She loved denim shirts, and jeans. She loved to ride horses, and she won many ribbons, and trophies with her horses. She had one named Poco that she went to State with when she was in 4H. She was an excellent bus driver, she made friends with CO workers and passengers. She brightened the days of many folks. When she became ill with pancreatic cancer it was very difficult to watch her decline. She still had a lot of hope, and wanted to do more. She wanted to go watch Jade dance this June. She wanted to take a ride with Ryan Wells in his new jeep. She wanted to meet her newest great niece someday. But, the Lord called her home May 7th. 2026 at 1pm. On the Saturday before she passed, she told Kevin Rawson she was watching the Kentucky Derby out of her hospital window. She asked him what number was winning. He played along with her. She also told him that she was going to go visit our mom. Mom passed away in 2017. Thoughts of her being in heaven with mom, dad, and her special kitty's Sammy, Forshner, Tiny, Bart, Punkin, and Spookie.. makes my heart feel at peace. She always fed the stray kitty's at her old apartment. One of them had kittens and Sharon took some to shelters and paid for their spay and neuter. One of those kitten's became her fur baby named Lulu. I brought her to my home while Sharon went through treatment for over a year. Then a few months ago she wanted Lulu to come home with her for the remaining time she would be alive. I'm so glad they had that additional time. Lulu gave her comfort, and made her laugh. I'll be taking Lulu back home with me when I'm done boxing up, donating her belongings. I stayed in her apartment for two weeks in Reynoldsburg. Going through memories, clothing, and collectables.. Needless to say, I shed many tears. I'm having difficulty letting stuff go. I just want to hold onto her. We wrote and talked everyday. She loved purple, I love pink! Purple ribbons represent pancreatic cancer and pink represents breast cancer (which I had). At the end of our messages we always put two hearts I hope she has a horse in heaven to ride occasionally. I wanted so badly for her to have one last ride before passing away. She liked #7 , she graduated in 1977 from JUHS, her ring size was 7, and size 7 shoe, and she passed on the 7th. Rest in Peace, Sharon. You'll forever be loved and missed. I believe we'll all be together again someday.
