Shawn “Squigg" Wagner, age 49 of Toronto passed away unexpectedly Friday August 7, 2026 at the Trinity Medical Center Steubenville.

He was born June 30, 1977 in Weirton, WV the son of the late Mark and Colleen (Flanagan) Wagner. Also preceded in death by a son, Andrew Paul Wagner.

Shawn was a 1995 graduate of Toronto High School. He loved sports especially baseball having played for the Red Knights. He was also an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. He was always highly involved in his kids’ activities.

He was employed by the Grant Industrial Controls Company of Imperial, PA. He was a laborer in the Shipping and Receiving department.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sarah Ann Wagner; son, Charles Ross Wagner; sister, Hope Marie Wagner (Jason Frank); niece, Mackenzie Ann Frank; companion, Lindsey Pettit and step-children, Maddy and Raelee.

Friends may visit Saturday at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto where Shawn’s family will be present from 2 to 4 pm. Pastor Bennett Briles will conduct a celebration service of Shawn’s life at 4 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Immediately following the service, family and friends will gather at the Weirton Church of the Nazarene Fellowship Hall across from the Weirton Nazarene Church at 489 Old Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062 for a time of fellowship and a luncheon for Shawn’s family and friends.
