Shirley J. Carnahan - Age 76 - of Toronto, a homemaker and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend to many, died Monday November 27, 2001 at her residence of natural causes.
She was born July 20, 1925 in Toronto, the daughter of the late John N. and Susan Dale Brown Clegg.
Shirley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Toronto where she served as an Elder and Deacon of the church. She was also a member of the Elizabeth Circle of the church and was a former Sunday School teacher.
She is a 1943 graduate of Toronto High School and a member of Toronto High School Alumni Association.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bob and Jim Clegg and a grandaughter - Kathleen Michelle Carnahan.

2 Step-grandchildren: Jim and Randy McIntyre
3 Great-grandchildren: Dylan, Caleb and Noah
Friends and family will be received for visitation 1-4 & 6-9 PM Thursday at Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main Street, Toronto 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446 and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday at First Presbyterian Church of Toronto, Ohio.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday- November 30, 2001 at the First Presbyterian Church - North Third Street - Toronto with Reverend Lucas Pina officiating.
Burial will follow at the Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, Ohio.
