Shirley Ann Nielsen, age 74 of Toronto, OH passed away, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Trinity Medical Center, West, Steubenville, OH

She was born May 12, 1941 in Laurel Hill, FL the daughter of the late Wilburn and Nannie Orene (Madden) Fleming.

Shirley was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church of Colliers, WV and was retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse having been employed by Dr. Pierce in Pensacola, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn Martin Nielsen who passed away in 2012 and whom she married August 26, 1977; brothers, Jesse Brenton and Billie Ray Fleming; sister, Agnes Pauline Hadden.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Lonnie Martin (Jami Jon) Nielsen of Dallas, TX and Charles Keith Nielsen of Houston, TX; daughters, Rhonda (Nelson) Simmons of Pittsburgh, PA, Connie (Clayton) McGalla of Toronto, OH and Kay (Lee) Adams of Dayton, TX; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Wilburn Johnathon Fleming of Crestview, FL; sisters, Eva Nell Horry of Beaufort, SC, Betty Ruth Pinckney of Fleming Island, FL, Nannie Faye (Robert) Dallons of Crestview, FL, Lottie Orene (Leroy) Alford of Laurel Hill, FL and Linda Kay (Howard) Henderson of Cullowhee, NC

A celebration service of Shirley's life will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 5th at the Open Door Baptist Church, 3432 Eldersville Road, Colliers, WV with Pastor Larry Garrison and son-in-law Clayton Mc Galla officiating. Interment will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery, County Road 46 & State Route 213, Toronto, OH

Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the Open Door Baptist Church following Shirley's service and burial.
