Terry Lee Umstead, age 49 of Wellsville, OH passed away suddenly Saturday, April 26, 2014 at his home in Wellsville, OH

He was born February 14, 1965 in Steubenville, OH

Terry was a 1983 graduate of Toronto High School; member of the Wellsville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 5647 and the Wellsville Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 772.
He was preceded in death by: sisters Pamela Jean Kersey who passed away March 11, 1988 and Martha E. Devore who passed away May 5, 2008; a brothers Joseph Kersey who passed away August 24,2004 and Robert Kersey who passed away October 27,2013; biological mother Margaret Holmes Kersey who passed away May 27, 2008 He is survived by his wife Penny Sue (Wright)Umstead of Wellsville, OH whom he married November 1, 1988; sons Terry "Michael" Umstead, Andrew Ryan Umstead, Austin Jared Umstead and Zachary Christian Umstead all of Wellsville, OH; father Charles Morris Umstead of Toronto, OH; mother Karen Sue (Kersey) Cunningham of Calcutta, OH; sisters Karen Dawn Anderson of Toronto,OH, Kimberly Logan and John Logan of Toronto, OH and Theresa Harris of Weirton, WV; brothers Charles "Butch" Kersey and fiancAC.e Cindi of Wellsville, Calvin Kersey of New Cumberland, WV; sister-in-laws Christina Rae Rawson and Jennifer Lynn Rawson; brother-in-law Robert Lester Wright, Jr. and Steven Douglas Wright; mother-in-law Roberta Rae Wright; father-in-law Robert Lester Wright; many nieces and nephews. Wilma Walker was like a mom to Terry and he wanted her mentioned along with her son Michael Walker who Terry thought of as a brother instead of a lifelong best friend.
