Thelma L. Palmer - Age 85 - of Toronto (New Somerset), Ohio, died Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
Thelma was born January 23, 1916 in Hammondsville, Ohio the daughter of the late John Howard and Mary Swearingen Minor.
She was a member of the New Somerset Christian Church and the Willing Workers of New Somerset. She was a graduate of Toronto High School.
Thelma was a former employee of the former G.C. Murphy Store in Toronto.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Virgil A. Palmer who passed away in 1993 and whom she married June 29, 1940. 3 Brothers: Leland, Ralph and Howard Minor 1 Sister: Dorothy McClain
Thelma''s survivors are: 1 Son: William ''''Bill'''' Palmer and wife Barbara of Toronto 2 Daughters: Mrs. Dwain ( Virginia ) Tharp of New Somerset, Ohio Mrs. Donald ( Barbara Murvine ) of Irondale, Ohio 8 Grandchildren 17 Great-grandchildren 5 Great-great-grandchildren Friends and family will be received for visitation 1-4 & 6-9 Friday at Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main Street, Toronto. 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446 A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2001 at Clarke Funeral Home with Pastor John Byard officiating. Burial will follow at the New Somerset Christian Cemetery -New Somerset, Ohio. Memorial contributions in memory of Thelma may be made to the New Somerset Christian Church, State Rt. 213, Toronto, Ohio 43964.
