Obituary

Theodore C. A"TedA" Cooper, age 83 of Toronto, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North - Steubenville.Born February 1, 1927 in Toronto, he is a son of the late Carl and Estella Bowers Cooper. Ted is a member of The Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, and is retired after 33 years from the former Weirton Steel Corporation where he worked as a Rigger. He is a World War II veteran serving in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Coast Guard. Ted is a member of the Toronto American Legion Post 86, the Beer Can collectors of America, Cribbage Club of America, and the Weirton Steel 25 year Club.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Leonard Cooper.Ted''s survivors include, his wife, Mrs. Betty Jean Morehouse Cooper of the family home in Toronto. A son Theodore C. Cooper Jr. and his wife Cindy of Toronto, a step son David Stovarsky and his wife Mary Ann of Irondale, Ohio. Two step daughters, Ms. Barbara Tolley of Canton, Ohio, and Mrs. Judith Glenn and her husband Tim of Riverside, California; Two brothers, Leo A"DukeA" Cooper and his wife Linda of Toronto, and Harry Cooper of Toronto; Ten Grandchildren; and eleven Great-Grandchildren.Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 6-8 P.M. at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main St. Toronto, Ohio 43964. 740-537-1234/800-588-1446Additional visitation will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Toronto Union Cemetery.
