Virginia Ellen Speedy, age 71 of Irondale, OH passed away surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH

Virginia was born May 10, 1946 in Steubenville, OH.

She was a member of the New Somerset United Methodist Church; Toronto Bowling League; Toronto Sunrise Citizens and Margaret's Card Club.

Virginia retired from the Valley Hospice Care Center North as a Certified Nurse's Aide and was a 1964 graduate of Jefferson Union High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Tip" Speedy in 1991 and her parents, Charles Montgomery and Jeannette (Roth) Powers.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Lynette (Jeff) Huff of Irondale, OH; sons, Charles  "Kenny" (Kari) Speedy of Toronto, OH, James "Bo" (Erin Watkins) Speedy of Irondale, OH and Michael ""Mike" (Dawn) Speedy of Irondale, OH; sister, Christina Montgomery of New York; brothers, Bob (Anita) Montgomery of Toronto, OH and Donald (Mary Alice) Montgomery of Carrollton, OH. Thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren survive.

Visitation hours for Virginia will be held 2-4 and 6-8 Sunday, September 17th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto, OH.

A celebration service of Virginia's life will be held 8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with the Reverend Steve Smith officiating.
