W. Lee Crawford, age 53 of Toronto,(Knoxville) OH went home to the Lord Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the Valley Hospice Care Center, North, Steubenville, OH
He was born June 21, 1959 in Steubenville, OH the son of William H Crawford who passed away October 23, 1984 and Eleanor Grace Moreland Crawford who passed away December 15, 2005.
Lee was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Toronto where he loved to sing and help direct the choir from his pew; was an honorary member of the Knoxville Volunteer Fire Department from the time it was founded in 1967 and loved to say "I am a Fireman", was a member and Special Director of the Jefferson Ruritan Club having received three Ruritan Member of the Year Plaques and always liked to make a speech at the Ruritan meetings and functions. His life had more ups than "downs".
Lee retired from the School of Bright Promise Workshop and participated in all Mini Relay 4 Life events; he was an avid traveler, golfer, fisherman and a lover and hugger to all he knew; was a video fanatic (My Favorite Martian and Mr. Ed of late).
His smile gave all others joy and he had a strong belief in Jesus and God. If God were to laugh, it''s has got to be like Lee''s giggles.
Lee was preceded in death his parents and grandfather Sam Crawford.
