W. Robert Roth, age 80 of Steubenville passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Trinity Medical Center, Steubenville. He was born July 4, 1940 in Steubenville, the son of the late William H. and Leona Mable (Hawkins) Roth. Robert was retired from the Steubenville City Schools as a custodian. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by sisters, Rebecca Roth, June Kirkbride and Jeanette Powers and brothers, Edgar Ray, George W. Thomas E. and Jimmy P. Roth. Robert is survived by sisters, Evelyn Gilchrest of Irondale, OH and Shirley (Francis) Elliott of Richmond, OH. Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews survive. Visitation hours for Robert will be held 10 AM to 2 PM Monday, November 30th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto. A celebration service of Robert's life will be held 2 PM Monday with the Reverend Kevin Rinkes officiating. Interment will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery. NOTE: Masks and social distancing is required at the funeral home. The family requests that visitors not linger during visitation.
