William M."Bill" Bray, age 81 of Toronto, OH passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Life Line Hospital, Wintersville, OH.
He was born June 27, 1931 in Jefferson County, OH the son of the late Russell M. and Florence (Glenn) Bray.
William was a member of the North River Avenue Christian Church of Toronto; a 60 year member of the Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 F. & A.M. having served as the Tyler; a 50 plus year member of the Royal Arch Masons #221 of Toronto having served as Treasurer; a member of the Valley of Steubenville Scottish Rite; was a charter member and one of the founders of the Knoxville Volunteer Fire Department where he had served as President, assistant Fire Chief in 1968 and from 1971 to 1981, Fire Chief in 1969 and 1970 and served as fire department chaplain for 19 years until 2003; was the Fire Prevention Officer of Knox Township, OH; a charter member of Chapter #589 Experimental Aircraft of Wintersville, OH; former early member of the Jefferson Ruritan Club
His family was pioneers and one of the first settlers of Jefferson County.
