William R. ''''Butch'''' Wanchic - 59 - of Steubenville, died Sunday - August 12, 2001 at Montifiore Hospital - Pittsburgh, PA.
Butch was born Dec. 11, 1941 in Toronto the son of the late John and Anna Schultz Wanchic.
He was a member of St. Peters Roman Catholic Church - Steubenville.
Butch is a member of the 25 Year Club of Weirton Steel Co. and is a 1959 graduate of Toronto High School.
He is employed at the Weirton Steel Co., as an Inspector.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother - John Wanchic, Jr. in 1986. Butch''s survivors are: Wife: Marie E. Ellek Wanchic of the home whom he married September 28, 1963. Daughter: Cynthia ''''Cindy'''' Wanchic of Bethel Park, PA. 2 Sons: John F. Wanchic and wife Anne of Bound Brook, New Jersey Chris R. Wanchic of Toronto Sister: Mildred Kalapos of Columbus, OH. Visitation hours will be 2-4 & 7-9 Wednesday and Thursday at the Clarke Funeral Home - 302 Main St. - Toronto, Ohio 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446. A Vigil Service will be held Thursday at 8:30 PM at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday August 17, 2001 at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church - Steubenville with Monsignor George Yontz officiating. Entombment will be at St. Pauls Cemetery - Weirton, WV.
