Obituary

William Oliver "Bill" Carman, age 91 of Palm Bay, Florida, a former longtime resident of the Toronto, OH area, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at his home.

He was born December 5, 1924 in Steubenville, OH the son of the late Trial and Anna Craig Carman.

William was a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville (Pleasant Hill), OH; Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 F & AM and Scottish Rite 32nd degree Masons, Valley of Steubenville.

He served his country in W.W.II in the U.S. Army. He was in the Battle of the Bulge during his service in the Army and received two bronze stars for valor and he was retired as maintenance supervisor at the former Ohio Edison Company Toronto Power Plant.

William was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Florence McConnell.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Marian Louise (Glasure) Carman; sons, Robert (Patricia) Carman and Craig (Karolyn) Carman all of Rockledge, FL; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and a sister, Gladys Blaner of Rehoboth Beach, DE.

Visitation hours for William will be held 11–1 and 2-4 Friday, January 15th At the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto.

A celebration service of William's life will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, January 16th at the funeral home with the Reverend Jeff Proya Officiating. Interment will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery, County Road 46, Toronto.
