Wilma L. Merrill, age 83 of Steubenville, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.
Born September 4, 1928 in Steubenville, she is a daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn Thompson Merritt. Wilma is a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church in Steubenville, and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne S. Merrill whom she married January 25, 1947 and who passed away April 22, 1996; a brother Richard Merritt; and a daughter Lori Jo Merrill.
Wilma''s survivors include, four daughters, Mrs. Cynthia J. Elson and her husband Ken of Steubenville, Mrs. Frankie Shumard and her husband Ron of Steubenville, Mrs. Serena Andreozzi and her husband Paul of Toronto, Mrs. Leesa Russell and her husband Rob of Hatfield, PA; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Lee Boslea and her husband John of Steubenville, Ms. Nancy Merritt of Steubenville; two brothers, Laddie Merritt of Steubenville, Paul Merritt of Steubenville; Special cousin Barbara Merrill, and Special nephew Pete Merritt; Eleven Grandchildren, and Fourteen Great-Grandchildren. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the celebration of life service at 1:00 P.M. at the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church a
