Annabelle “Annie” Thompson, age 82 of Township Road 371Toronto passed away Friday October 20, 2023 at her home surrounded by her best friend and family.
She was born July 8, 1941 in Toronto the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Agnes (Bletch) Thompson.
Annie was a great lover of her beloved pets and dedicated her life of caring and serving others. She enjoyed people and never met a stranger and Annie’s hobby and favorite past time was playing the slot machines wherever she could play them.
Annie was a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church; was a 1959 graduate of Jefferson Union High School and was a great lover of her pets. She retired as a nurse’s aide having been employed by both Trinity Medical Center East and West in Steubenville after 52 years of service
In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by brothers, Jack and Tom Thompson and sister, Alice Holsinger; nieces, Brenda and Kathy and nephews Bobby and Tim.
Annie is survived by her best friend for 48 years, Cherrie Kough and her beloved dog, Heidi; nieces and nephews, Sandy Holsinger, Carolyn (Brian) Goad, Jackie (Vicki) Thompson, Cheryl Forester, Lee Thompson, Lynette Kindesvatteer, Janie Thompson; special friend, Linda (David) Smith and many friends of the Kough family and her Trinity East and West family.
Visitation hours for Annie will be held 2 to 4 and 6 - 8 Friday, October 27th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
A celebration service of Annie’s life will be held 11am Saturday, October 28th at the funeral home with the Reverend David Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Center Chapel Cemetery.
