Audrey Jean Prosser, age 92 of Toronto passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 28, 1926 in Toronto the daughter of the late John W. Burns and Mae Burns (Morgan) Nellans.
Audrey was the oldest member of the Toronto First Church of the Nazarene Church where she served in the choir, many times as a soloist for many years. She also served her church as a Sunday School and Bible School Teacher.
She was a 1945 graduate of Toronto High School and along with her husband Clarence “Frog” Prosser was a co-owner of Frog’s Place in Toronto.
Besides her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Frog” Prosser in 2006 whom she married October 17, 1947; sister, Betty Elson, brother, Bill Burns, brother-in-law, Jack Breckenrige and sister-in-law, Beverly Lawson.
Audrey is survived by her sons, John (Karen) Prosser, Paul (Theresa) Prosser and Linda (Norm) Winstel all of Toronto; grandchildren, Lance (Sherri) Winstel, Amanda (Rich) Coburn, Julie (Doug) O’Halek, Paul (Amy) Prosser, Nicoyia (Zack) McGrath all of Toronto, Jessica (Cody) Warnock of Wellsville and Kimberly (Bob) Dent of North Carolina and Ryan (Jennifer) Winstel of Pickerington.
great grandchildren, Carli and Lindsey Winstel and Kamryn and Hayden Coburn, Connor and Alivia O’Halek, Caden McGrath all of Toronto, Callie and Brayden Winstel of Pickerington, Blain Warnock of Wellsville and a sister, Shirley Breckenrige of Industry, PA.
Visitation hours for Audrey will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Saturday July 13th and again from 12 noon to 1:00 P.M. Sunday, July 14th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.
A celebration service of Audrey’s life will be held 1:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with the Reverend Eric Frey officiating. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.
