Betty Jean Cooper, age 89 of Weirton, a former long time resident of Toronto passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021.

She was born September 5, 1931 in Parkersburg, WV the daughter of the late William Howard and Lydia (Talbott) Morehouse.

Betty Jean was a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church of Pleasant Hill, Steubenville and was retired as owner and operator of the Downtown Beauty Shop of Toronto.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted C. Cooper, Sr. whom she married December 8, 1972; step-son, Ted Cooper, Jr.; step-father, Harold Cadman; brother, Ronald Morehouse and son-in-law, Tim Glenn.

Betty Jean is survived by her son, David (Mary Ann) Stovarsky of Toronto; daughters, Barbara Tolley of Canton, OH and Judith Glenn of Riverside, CA; daughter-in-law, Cindy Cooper of Toronto and a brother, Edwin Morehouse of Steubenville.

 Six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren. Nine great-grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild survive.

Betty Jean’s arrangements are in the care of the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto and will be at the convenience of her family with interment and a graveside service at the Toronto Union Cemetery with the Reverend Diane Bell officiating.

Memorial contributions in memory of Betty Jean may be made to the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, 3419 State Rt. 213, Steubenville, OH 43952.
