Betty Mae “Hannah” Martin Johnson, age 85 passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA
She was born January 15, 1934 in Port Homer, OH the daughter of the late Clarence Martin, Sr. and Edith Dillon Martin.
Betty was a member of the Port Homer Community Church. She loved to collect Longaberger baskets and retired after 40+ years from the former Sterling China Co., Wellsville, OH.
Beside her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Johnson; siblings, Charles E. Martin, Marjorie E. Martin Hobbs, Clarence “Bob” Martin, Jr., Mildred R. Martin, Carl L. Martin, Clara E. Martin Russell, Blanche N. Martin and Elmer L. Martin.
Betty is survived by brothers, James (Kathleen) Martin of Hammondsville, OH, Floyd Martin of Richmond, OH, Rosemond “Jack” (Gladys) Martin of Mingo Jct., OH and Donald “Chip” (Betty) Martin of Stratton, OH and sister, Della Hudson, Wellsville, OH. Several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews survive.
Visitation hours for Betty will be held 3-5 & 7-9 Wednesday, March 27th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto, OH.
A celebration service of Betty’s life will be held 11 A.M. March 28th at the Port Homer Community Church, 2454 County Road 68, Toronto, OH 43964 with Pastor Dirk Hall officiating. Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Betty may be made to the Port Homer Community Church.
