Charles B. Anderson
“The veils of eternity parted, and a soul slipped through.”
Charles Browning (Chuck) Anderson, age 92 of Port Charlotte, FL, a former long-time resident of Toronto, passed away January 11, 2021, in Venice, Florida.
He was born August 29, 1928, in Toronto, the youngest son of James Milo and Julia Beatrice (Stephenson) Anderson.
Chuck was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Toronto. He was also a member of the Toronto Masonic Lodge No.583 F&AM, and had just received his 65-year membership pin and certificate. His memberships also included the Toronto Royal Arch Masons Chapter 221, the Union Council No.2, the Steubenville Commandry No.11, the Valley of Steubenville Scottish Rite, the Steubenville Shrine Club, and the Aladdin Shrine of Columbus.
Chuck was the proud owner of the Anderson Insurance Agency in Toronto for many years.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Leasure) Anderson, whom he married on July 23, 1976, as well as two brothers: Dale Vincent Anderson and James Monroe Anderson, and two sisters: Mary Virginia McMillin and Beatrice Maudelene (Maudie) Kavulla.
He is survived by his sons, Barry Anderson (and his fiancée Lisa Davis) of Port Charlotte, FL, Mark (and his wife Kathy) Anderson of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Eric (and his wife Belinda) Anderson of Port Charlotte, FL, and his daughter Lezlie (and her husband Steve) Johnson of Arcadia, Fl.
His grandchildren who will miss him dearly are Kelli (Anderson, and her husband Patrick) Martell, Jonathon Anderson, Julia Anderson, Sean (and his wife Olivia) Johnson, Nathan (and his wife Cassie) Johnson, Evan (and his wife Kristen) Johnson, Brant Caddick and Vincent Anderson. Chuck also leaves behind a one-year-old great-grandson, Skye Johnson.
Visitation hours for Chuck will be held 1 to 3 PM Wednesday, January 20th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St, Toronto, OH.
A celebration service of Chuck’s life will be held 3 PM Wednesday, January 20th at the funeral home with his son-in-law, Reverend Steven Johnson, officiating. Interment, next to his wife Helen, will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery.
