It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charlotte Loreen (Lori) Roy, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, endearing sister, and a dear friend to many. She peacefully entered the embrace of her heavenly Father on August 4, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving behind a legacy of profound selflessness and unwavering strength.
Lori's journey was enriched by her deep connections with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Doris Breen, her sister Sherry, and brothers Steve and John.
Lori is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Rick; her daughters, Sandra Roy and Sarah (Steve) Vachon; her grandsons, Christopher and Luke; her beloved granddaughter, Aurora; sister Janice (Daryl) and brother Randy (Michele). Being a grandmother was one of her greatest joys in life, radiating pride and unconditional love. Her absence leaves a void in all their hearts, yet her memory will forever inspire.
She graduated from Almont High School in 1981 and was a long-time member of the Stratton Nazarene Church. Beyond her cherished roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Lori's adventurous spirit led her to explore the world with her husband, family, and friends, including three years living in Indonesia.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Jefferson County Humane Society, a cause dear to Lori's heart.
Visitation hours for Lori will be held 3 to 7 pm Thursday, August 10th and from 10 to 11 am Friday, August 11th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto
A celebration service of Lori’s life will be held 11 am Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Eric Frey officiating.
Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery.
