David Mark Yocum, age 70 of Toronto passed away Friday, March 3, 2023
He was born October 10, 1952 in Steubenville the son of the late David E. “Pappy” Yocum in 2006 and Mary L. (Felton) Yocum in 2018.
Mark was a member of the New Somerset Christian Church, member and Past Master of Toronto Lodge # 583 F & AM; member and Past High Priest of Toronto Chapter of Royal Arch Masons # 221; member and Past Worthy Patron of the Toronto Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 215; member and Past Master of Wellsville Masonic Lodge #180 F & AM; member and past Chaplain of the Steubenville Shrine Club; Brothers of Boaz Chapter of Masonic Riders Association and member and Chaplain of the Widows Sons Pillars of Strength.
He was active volunteering in the area building wheel chair ramps for the disabled .
Mark was retired from the Wheeling Pitt steel mill as a crane operator and was an associate for many years at the Clarke Funeral Home.
In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his son, Richard Yocum in 2007; brother, Dennis Yocum in 2020 and his former wife, Sandra Yocum February 16, 2023.
Mark is survived by his son, Charles G. (Che) Yocum of Ponte Verda, FL; brothers, Rich (Patricia) Yocum of Pinehurst, NC, Keith (Michael Hollis) of Royal Oak, MI and Phillip (Janet) Yocum of Harrisburg, OH; grandchildren, Shawna and Jenna Alloggia, Richard and Taylor Yocum, Grant Yocum, Ryan Higgs, Madison Yocum, Asher Keirsey and Payton Yocum; great-grandchildren, Christian and Isaac Yocum and companion Debbie Phillippi of Toronto.
Visitation hours for Mark will be held 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, March 7th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto where Masonic services will be held at 7 PM followed by the Widows Sons Masonic services and then Eastern Star services will be held.
A celebration service of Mark’s life will be held 8 PM Tuesday from the funeral home with Pastor Rob Minto officiating.
