Donald F. “Robin” King, age 93 of Toronto passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville.
He was born May 13, 1927 in Pomeroy, OH the son of the late Fred and Evelyn (Farley) King.
Robin was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Toronto; a graduate of Toronto High School. His memberships include, Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 F & AM, Aladdin Shrine, Toronto American Legion Post # 86, Toronto Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 1276, New Cumberland V.F.W. and the Last Man Standing Club.
He served his country in the Navy during WW II, was retired from the Weirton Steel Co. as a machinist, worked for Smitty’s Trucking in Brilliant and was a bus driver for the Toronto City School District.
In addition to his parents, Robin was preceded in death by his wife Lois Jean (Kimmel) King, October 24, 2019; brother, Max King and sister, Anna Lee Cadegan.
Robin is survived by his son, Fred (Susan) King; brothers, Dick (Debbie) King and Jack King; six grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours for Robin will be 5 to 9 PM Monday, November 30th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.
A Celebration service of Robin’s life will be held 11 AM Tuesday, December 1st at the funeral home with the Reverend Doctor Edna Stahl officiating. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.
Masonic Services: 7 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Full Military honors for Robin will be presented at the funeral home by the Toronto American Legion following services Tuesday before interment.
NOTE: Masks and social distancing is required at the funeral home. The family requests that visitors not linger during visitation.
