Dorothy K. Fouts, age 96 of Toronto passed away peacefully Friday, May 29.2020 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH.
She was born October 12, 1923 in Steubenville the daughter of the late Richard W. Craven, Sr. and Alice Pearl (Brewer) Craven.
Dorothy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Toronto, was a 1942 graduate of Toronto High School, was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and insisted she attend many of their activities over the years and traveled to do it. They were the loves of her life.
Dorothy and her husband were known around the valley for their love of dance. They were amazing to watch on the dance floor.
Dorothy retired from the former Hancock Manufacturing Co. of Toronto as a secretary with many years of service.
Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Raymond Fouts in 2014 and her brother Richard W. Craven, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters Alicia (Jeff) Gruber of Gloucester, VA , Deborah (Bill) Sloane of Toronto, Grandchildren Robert (Amy) Faulkner of Sunbury, OH, Christina (Mike) Robinette of Gloucester, VA and great-grandchildren Owen, Abigail & Adam Faulkner, Maverick Garcia, Addison and William Robinette and several nieces and nephews and many very special friends.
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, visitation hours and the celebration service of Dorothy’s life will be private at the family’s request. Interment will take place at the Toronto Union Cemetery.
Dorothy’s family would like to give a very special thanks to Valley Hospice for the special loving care they gave Dorothy.
