Dorothy Kay LoPrete, age 79 of Toronto passed away Thursday, February 16,2023 at the Valley Hospice Care Center, Steubenville.
She was born November 6,1943 in Steubenville the daughter of the late William and Elsie (Nelson) Mackinaw,
Dorothy was a Presbyterian by faith; a 1961 graduate of Steubenville High School; was a great supporter of the Edison Wildcats and the Jefferson County 4 H Clubs and most of all she lived and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and had retired as a Millwright at the Wheeling – Pittsburgh Steel Company,
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. LoPrete, Sr. in 2007 whom she married March 16,1962 and a infant daughter, Jenel LoPrete.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Deborah A. (Larry) Roth and son, Joseph M. (Suzy) LoPrete, Jr.; grandchildren, Cordelia M. Russell, Emma M. LoPrete and Giada LoPrete; great-grandchildren, Michael A, Cayleigh M. and Khloe A, Russell all are from Toronto; sisters, Rita Wigal and Sharon Larkins of Steubenville and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours for Dorothy will be held from 2-4 and 6-8PM Sunday, February 19th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto
A celebration service of Dorothy’s life will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday, February 20th with Elder Dee Kovach officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakland Cemetery, Mingo Junction.
