Obituary

Frances K. Keenan, age 87 of Stratton, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 6, 2023
Born December 25, 1935 in Rinard Mills, Ohio; she is a daughter of the late Emmett E. and Bessie J. (Moore) Howell. She is a 1951 Graduate of Bloomfield High School, and retired after over 20 years of service as a cashier at Walmart. She has also been a long-time member of Mensa International and attended Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne L. Keenan Sr.; two sons, Mark and Kevin Keenan; a sister Joan Taisey; and a brother Paul Howell.
Frances is survived by her son, Wayne L. “Butch” (Meloney) Keenan of Toronto, a daughter Jill (Jim) Keenan – Chismark of Calcutta, a sister Carol Cogley of Hammondsville, a sister-in-law Pauline Howell of Wellsville, six grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
In keeping with Frances’s wishes, graveside services will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family and at the Sugar Grove cemetery. The Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St. in Toronto has been entrusted with the arrangements.
