Glen Lee Ferry, age 82 of Hammondsville passed away surrounded by his loving family at his home, Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
He was born March 25, 1938 in Irondale, OH the son of the late Albert and Leona (Johnson) Ferry.
Glen was an avid NASCAR fan; graduated from Irondale High School; served his country in the Marine Corps; served as a councilman and water superintendent for Irondale; served as police chief for Saline Township; had worked for the HK Brickyard in Wellsville and had worked for Mark Hoobler as a self-employed contractor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Sue (Boyer) Ferry in 2005 whom he married July 16, 1965; brothers, Paul “Diz”, James, Richard and Albert Ferry and a sister, Judith Ferry.
Glen is survived by his wife, Sarah Alice (McCollough) Ferry whom he married November 10, 2018; sons, Bryan (Norma) Ferry of Greenup, KY and Glen Lee (Lori) Ferry, Jr. of Wellsville and daughter, Bridget (Rick Webb) Lease of Irondale. Four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive.
Visitation hours for Glen will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Sunday, October 18th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.
A celebration service of Glen’s life will be held at 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Ingole officiating. A private family interment will be held Monday, October 19th at the Hammondsville Cemetery.
