John Douglas Chase, age 64 of Empire passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
He was born April 9, 1956 in Steubenville the son of the late Harry and Pauline (Lilley) Chase.
John was a 1976 graduate of Stanton Local High School and was retired from the E.J. Rawson Co. as a truck driver.
John is survived by his wife, Brenda (Rowe) Chase of Houston, TX; daughters, Pauline Allen of Empire and Bambie (Chris) Austin of Wellsville; sons, Harry (Nicole) Chase of Wellsville and Michael (Jesica) Keefer of East Liverpool; grandsons, Alex Chase, Aythan Keefer, Danny Allen and Christopher Austin; granddaughters, Laura Austin, Safarie Chase, Ayeonna Keefer, Myia Chase and Elektra Chase; brothers, Paul Chase of Cleveland, OH, Jack Chase of Wellsville, Fred (Sherry) Chase of Irondale, Cecil (Norma) Chase of Toronto, Wayne (Connie) Chase of Empire and Charles Chase of Avella, PA; half brothers, George Chase of Washington, PA and Bob Chase of Indiana; sisters, Patricia (David) McCourt of Wellsville, Ruth Kirby of Wellsville, Eunice “Neg” Evans of Hammondsville and Rose (Jerry) Blackburn of Irondale.
Visitation hours for John will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Monday, June 15th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
A celebration service of John’s life will be held Tuesday, June 16th at the funeral home with
Pastor Lisa Elliott officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery.
We strongly suggest that the visitors coming to pay respect to John and his family at the funeral home wear a mask and not linger because of COVID 19 out of respect for John’s family. Thank you for your understanding.
