John Edward Grodhaus moved into his eternal heavenly home on Friday, May 8 2020, at the age of 85; just 12 days after his
beloved wife, Joyce (Lawrence) Grodhaus.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Molly Marie (Harris) Grodhaus.
John is survived by his daughter Brenda (David) Haught; son David (Patty) Grodhaus; 8 grandchildren: Kristopher (Christina) Haught, Rachel (Justin) Shay; David (Angela) Haught, Tyler Grodhaus, Taryn Grodhaus, Aubrie Valesko, Jeremy (Cassandra) Grodhaus, and Chelsea Capps; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter arriving soon; one brother Donald Grodhaus of Florida, cousins and many close friends.
John is a graduate of Wellsville High School and a retired crane operator in the Agricultural Department of the former Crucible Steel in Midland, PA.
John loved spending time with his family, fishing, boating, camping and daily jogs at Highlandtown lake.
His favorite quote was “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say any anything at all.”
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of their lives service for John and Joyce at 3pm on Monday, May 25, at their daughter’s farm located at 11330 SR 213, Toronto.
