Joyce A Hupp

Joyce A. Hupp, age 76 of Toronto passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Weirton Medical Center.

 She was born October 1, 1943 in Bellaire, Ohio, the daughter of the late Reverend Floyd L. Workman, Sr. and Roxie (Rife) Workman and also preceded in death by a brother, Floyd L. Workman, Jr.

 Joyce was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church of Toronto; had been a teacher’s aide at the School of Bright Promise, employed at the Penny’s Department Store in Steubenville, was a member of the Jefferson County Board of Elections and had served the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department as a secretary. She was a graduate of Delaware-Willis High School, Delaware, OH.

 She leaves behind her loving family, husband, Billy Dean Hupp whom she married February 21, 1969; son, Dane A. Hupp of Steubenville and daughter, Lu Ellyn (Bill) Dallas of Toronto; grandchildren, Meghann Hupp, Logan Hupp, Heather (Bill) Allison, Angela (Elijah) Bowden, Melissa and Norm Brown and family; great-grandchildren, Will, Landry and Brooklyn Allison and Issac and Abigail Bowden. Several nieces and nephews survive.

Visitation hours for Joyce will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Monday, February 24th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.

A memorial service celebrating Joyce’s life will be held 8 P.M Monday at the funeral home with the Reverend William Hibbs officiating.

Joyce’s family would like to thank all the staff of the Weirton Medical Center’s sixth floor and the physicians that cared for her for their outstanding and compassionate care during her stay at the hospital.
