Judith Ann “Judy” Jackson, age 77 of Steubenville passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
She was born October 21, 1942 in Toronto, OH the daughter of the late Harlan Hamilton Carson and Ruth Rosely (Montgomery) Carson.
Judy was a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church of Steubenville (Pleasant Hill); was a 1960 graduate of Toronto High School and loved to square dance.
She was retired from the Jefferson County School of Bright Promise as a bus driver.
Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lewis Jackson, Jr. in 1998 whom she married January 14, 1957.
She is survived by her sons, Robert H. (Drenna Zook) Jackson of Toronto, Vernon E. (Kimberly) Jackson of Bloomingdale, and Keith A. (Margaret Walker) Jackson of Steubenville; daughter, Krystal D. (Brian) Carnahan of Fayetteville, GA; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and her companion for 20 years, Max Hamner.
Visitation hours for Judy will be held 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Thursday, February 13th at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto and from 10-11 A.M. Friday, February 14th at the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church State Rt. 213 Steubenville (Pleasant Hill) followed by a celebration service of Judy’s life Friday at 11 A.M. at the church with the Reverend Jeff Proya officiating. Interment will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery.
