Marcia Jean Bishop, age 75 of Toronto passed away February 25, 2022 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville.
She was born January 12, 1947 in Steubenville the daughter of the late George A. and Stephanie “Stella” (Radeski” Straka.
Marcia was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church of Toronto where she belonged to the Catholic Women’s Club of the church and the Bereavement Committee of the church. She also loved to crochet and knit.
She was retired as a Civil Service Administrator for the Jefferson County Jobs and Family Services.
In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, Frank N. Bishop in 2005 and whom she married April 14, 1978 and sisters, Mary Ann VanKirk, Jane Voorhees and Eleanor Turick.
Marcia is survived by her daughter, Christal M. Minor and husband Matthew of Highland Park, IL;
two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; two nephews; six nieces; great grand nieces and great grand nephews; many cousins and her dog and cat “grandbabies”, She loved every one of them.
Visitation hours for Marcia will be held from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, March 3rd at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto. A Vigil service will be held at 5 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Additional visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, corner of Findley Street and Euclid Avenue, Toronto. Funeral A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will follow at 10:30 AM with officiant the Reverend Father Thomas Vennitti. Interment will follow at the Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
