Richard Willis “Dick” Westlake age 91 of Wintersville passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville.
He was born December 25, 1929 in Toronto the son of the late John L. and Margaret (Davis) Westlake.
Dick was a faithful longtime member of the Christians Gathered Together Unto The Name of The Lord Jesus Christ, Gospel Hall of Steubenville.
He was an avid woodworker; 1947 graduate of Toronto High School; retired as a craneman from TIMET of Toronto and served his country in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine V. (Keller) Westlake in 2009 whom he married April 19, 1958; brother, John Westlake and sisters, Mary Martha Dunn, Elizabeth Alban and Majore Anderson.
Dick is survived by his sons, Paul (Christina) Westlake of Dover, DE and Keith (Doreen) Westlake of Wintersville; grandchildren, Zachary (Marissa), Nathan (Sarah), Steven and Jacob Westlake; three great-grandchildren and a brother, Dale (Phyllis) Westlake of Proctorville, OH.
Visitation and services for Dick, at the request of his family, will be private for family and close friends.
Interment will be at the Island Creek Cemetery.
