Robert “Bob” Lewis Sr. age 69 of Toronto was surrounded by family when he passed away Sunday, September 11,2022 at his home. Bob fought a courageous 6 ½ year battle with five different cancers.
Bob was born August 14, 1953 a son of the late Robert H. Lewis and Mary Ann (Martin) Lewis who survives in Toronto.
Bob was a graduate of Toronto High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Bob worked as a laborer at the former Toronto Paper Mill now the Valley Converting paper company of Toronto and as a construction laborer in California and Ohio.
In addition to his father; Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph H. Lewis and the mother of his two children, Judith A. (Liddick) Lewis.
Surviving Bob is his mother, Mary Ann (Martin) Lewis, his daughter, Tricia (Dave) Lovelace of Independence, KY and his son Robert “Robbie” Lewis Jr. of Toronto.
Bob was Pap to three grandsons, Alex Andrews, Nathan Lovelace and Lane Lewis. Lane was Bob’s inspiration to fight cancer 6 ½ years; Two brothers, Walter (Joyce) Lewis of Fullerton, CA and John (Casey) Lewis of Toronto; three nephews, two nieces; several great nieces and great nephews; many cousins and special friend Pat; a cousin Donna who considered Bob a little brother.
Bob’s wishes were to be cremated without visitation or ceremony. His arrangements are in the care of the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
