Robert "Bob" Eugene Mc Clurg

Robert Eugene “Bob” McClurg, age 71 of Wellsville, OH passed away suddenly at his home Monday, September 10, 2018.

He was born October 30, 1946 in Steubenville, OH.

Bob was a member of the Empire United Methodist Church; was a 1964 graduate of Toronto High School; loved to garden, loved  his wood burner and  loved to cook over an open fire.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Operating Engineers Local # 18 out of Akron, OH as a heavy equipment operator.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Leland McClurg  in 1982 and Sara Virginia (Peterson) McClurg in 2008 and a brother, Harry Clair McClurg in 1961.

Bob is survived by his wife, Sandy K. (Scott) McClurg whom he married August 12, 1967; sons, Robert L. McClurg of Wellsville, OH, Greg A. McClurg  and fiancé Christine Kane of Beaver Falls, PA, Brad E. McClurg and wife Angie Conrad of Eighty Four, PA; grandchildren, Lucky, Kai, Jesse and Gina McClurg, Tommy, Krista and Brian Kane; great-grandchildren, Xander Kane, Carter and Hannah Taraman; brother, John L. McClurg and wife Trudi of Toronto, OH and sister, Patricia L. Hayter and husband Al of Calcutta, OH.

Visitation hours for Bob will be held  5-8 Friday, September 14th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.

A celebration of Bob’s life service will be held 8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home with

Mr. Bill Welsh officiating.
