William "Bill" Mack Thompson, Jr.

William Mack “Bill” Thompson, Jr. age 73 of Toronto passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

He was born November 16, 1949 in Steubenville, the son of the late William Mack Thompson and Clara Blanch Henderson-Beckner Thompson. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by sisters, Michelle Thompson, Patsy Rosella Hughes, Mary Opal Johnson and a brother, Michael Thompson.

Bill was a member of the Toronto Wesleyan Church, served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was retired from the United States Department of Defense.

Bill is survived by his wife Beverly Jean Thompson whom he married May 21, 1972; sons, Joseph Mack Thompson and wife Crystal, David William Mack Thompson and wife Sharon; daughter, Amy Rennee Kosikowski and companion Ken Davis; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; brothers; Richard Edward Thompson, Sr. and wife Fran and John Joseph Thompson and wife Beth.

Visitation hours for Bill will be held 4 to 6 Friday May 19th followed by a celebration service of Bill’s life at 6 pm Friday at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH 43964. Pastor Bob Benesh will conduct the service.

Family and friends are invited to a meal and fellowship time at the Toronto Wesleyan Church following Bill’s service.
