What a lady, delivered both of my children, son is now 61. She had such a sense of humor and was a great Dr. Such a loss for Toronto but wonderful memories will live on.

I worked with Dr Jane as a nursing student at OVH from 1968-1971 and as an RN after that.She was a force to be reckoned with. Very caring,I can still see her standing in the nurses station of Men's Medical.

May you take comfort in knowing how much Dr Shaffer was needed, loved, and cared about in this small community! There was nobody else like her! Beautiful person who CARED about people! I had always heard stories of her giving her time and care to anyone who needed her wherher they could pay or not! It is a true shame that there are not doctors like her in these days! She used her knowledge to care and cure anyone and everyone who needed her! God bless her and God bless her family!

To all Family and Loved Ones: Dr. Shaffer was truly an angel and she will be missed by all those she touched. She was a very caring and loving physician who took time for everyone. I always enjoyed seeing her singing in the church choir and speaking with her about everything. God Bless!

The "doc" was one in a million. A lady who truly cared about her patients. She had been my doctor all my life and I was sad when she retired. Now she's in heaven caring for others...that's what she did her whole life. If anyone had a halo around their head, it was Jane. I love you and may the good Lord bless and keep you!

To the family of Francis Shaffer. She was a very special and loving person. She was my doctor years ago. She saved my life one time when I developed mastitis and it went into sepsis. She turned it around ... when I arrived at the hospital with a fever of 106. She was wonderful! She was compassionate and listened and took time with everyone. She was loved and appreciated by our little community of Toronto. May God bring you comfort in your loss. She will always be remembered by the people of Toronto. ♡♡
