MSG Norman Charles Breth, age 68 of Barling, AR passed on to be with his Lord on Feb. 3, 2017 in the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock, AR.

He was born Jan. 4, 1949 in Latrobe, PA the son of the late Norman Paul and Margaret Leona (Dunn) Breth of Knoxville, OH.

He was a retired Master Sergeant from the United States Army with 29 years of service; was a Vietnam War veteran; charter member of the Vietnam Veterans Group #1 of Steubenville, OH and while living in Arkansas he was a member of Vietnam Veterans Chapter # 467; member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Norm was very active with the Patriot Guard and Christian Bikers group and was a member of the Knoxville Volunteer Fire Department and was an EMT. Norm was a 1967 graduate of Jefferson Union High School.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Wesley Leland Breth whose ashes were interred with Norm’s in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR..

Norm is survived by his wife Julie K. (Nickerson) Breth of Barling, AR; sons, Norman Mark Breth of Aurora, CO and Michael Scott Breth of Woodland Park, CO; step-daughter, Tara Kaigh Walker of Xenia, OH; sisters,  Joyce Irene Breth Zimmerman of Toronto, OH, Leona Mae Breth Wood of Summerton, SC, Margaret “Peggy” Agnes Breth Cline of Toronto, OH; grandchildren in Colorado, Matthew Norman Breth, Kristopher Breth and Darya Breth.

Norm was interred at the Fort Smith, AR U.S. National Cemetery with full military honors.

A memorial service celebrating Norman’s life will be held at the Knoxville Volunteer Fire Department social hall Sunday, February 19th at 2:00 P.M .with the Reverend Jack Ernest officiating.
